Had a wonderful response to the Sarony report mentioned last month, enough that I need to update the article already, with the additional information provided by readers. A lot more information on his early career as a lithographer will be added when I get the chance.
Added more than 70 photographs to the archives, but had hoped to be able to do a lot more. The new system is much faster, but it still takes a lot of work to describe and date the images. Next I need to make it possible for subscribers to search the image database by location and/or date range; or for a particular photographer.
Continued working on the Pennsylvania photographers from the 1860 tax records, finished six more volumes of those records — should be done in a couple more months at that rate.
